Our Story
Honey Willow — Our Story
Honey Willow began with something very personal.
For more than 20 years, I’ve struggled with eczema. My kids dealt with it too, and now I see my grandchildren going through the same thing. As a mom — and now a Gigi — it’s hard to watch the people you love deal with dry, irritated, uncomfortable skin.
Like so many families trying to find relief, we tried everything. Over-the-counter creams. Prescription treatments. Steroids. Different soaps. Different laundry detergents. Some things helped for a little while, but nothing ever seemed to truly fix the problem.
After years of dealing with it, I started wondering if some of the products we were using every day might actually be making things worse.
Our skin is the largest organ in our body. It protects us, but it also absorbs so much from the world around us — from the air we breathe to the ingredients in the products we use daily. I wanted something different for my family.
Something simple. Something nourishing. Something I felt good about putting on my own skin — and on the skin of my kids and grandbabies.
When I first discovered tallow-based skincare, I noticed a difference almost immediately. My skin felt calmer and more supported than it had in years. But even then, I still felt like something was missing.
So I started researching.
I learned about traditional skincare and the way people cared for their skin long before modern chemicals became so common. The more I learned, the more I realized something simple:
If I wanted products I truly trusted, I needed to make them myself.
That way I would know exactly what was going into every jar, every balm, and every bar of soap.
Honey Willow grew from that journey — a grandmother’s search for simple, nourishing skincare after decades of eczema in our family.
Today, every product is made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients designed to support the skin’s natural barrier. Nothing unnecessary. Nothing overly complicated.
Just honest ingredients, made with care.
Because the people we love deserve something better.
